Horseback Hybrid Safaris
A horseback hybrid safari offers a truly unique and immersive way to experience the African wilderness, combining the intimacy of riding safaris with the comfort and variety of a classic vehicle-based journey. Partnering with Tanzania Horse Safaris we are able to bring some your wildest dreams to life!
The horseback portion takes place in roving horseback camps, set in remote and wildlife-rich areas. Each day typically includes one to two guided rides, with approximately 2–3 hours spent in the saddle per ride. Exploring on horseback allows you to move quietly through the landscape, often getting remarkably close to plains game while feeling fully connected to the environment. Evenings are spent in camp under the stars, enjoying the simplicity and authenticity of life in the bush.
This is seamlessly complemented by a traditional jeep safari, where you’ll travel further distances and access a broader range of ecosystems. The vehicle portion of the journey allows for exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities, including larger predators and diverse terrain that cannot be reached on horseback.
